It's imposible to explain all I owe to sewing and to be grateful for, because it would be too long to tell. Since I was a child I've been thinking in garments almost every day, if I liked something, I immediatly imagine how to adapt it to my style or my body shape. Sewing has helped me to take this ideas out of my head, and although I've not been very active, to know that at a given moment I can create something makes me happy. Just thinking about sewing makes me happy, I've sewn more mentally that I've really done. But this is about to change. And I'm grateful for this change. Now I have a place where I can sew, and I love it. I'm sew grateful to my family for their support in my love to sewing, my sisters who wear my garments and inspire me to keep on working and make sewing my job. I would love to but I have a lot to learn. I'm grateful to the world of sewing blogs, full of talented and creative people, that inspire me and make me want continue with my sewing. Since I'm in this blog world I've only heard kind words. And grateful to the Sew Grateful which has permited to know a lot more, to make my first giveaway and tutorial, two things I didn't think I could do and it's been fun. Thanks Debi.
This pants are more an experiment than something I really wanted to make. I wanted to use the leftovers of the fabric I used to make the facing on my Petite coat, so I made these shorts. I wanted to make something simple but not boring, so I decided to make some scallops and sewed some buttons to cheer them up, apart from that, they are ordinary pants, nothing especial as for patternmaking. They're lined with the leftovers of the lining of the Petite coat (you have to make most of everything). This is the first time I line a pair of pants and although I searched in my books "Burda: Costura Fácil" and "Complete guide of sewing", I made it my own at the end. Next time I make them, (I have an order, well, my sister wants a pair) I have to find another way, because this finishing is not very neat. I had everything I used in my stash, even the zipper in the same colour than the fabric, I only bought the buttons, so I could say they've costed me only 8 euros. I think they're very cute.
