Petite coat

Here it is my new coat. It was time after three monts. I'm very happy with the result, although I have to improve the zone of the collar where by making the pleat, there is an excess of fabric that I don't like how it looks, although it is the inicial idea. I like a lot the effect of the plaid in the pleats. In the loops I used a technique of my book "Complete book of sewing", that consists in fill a bies strip of fabric with cord to make the loop more consistent. I used fusible hemming web to stalize the pleats. The coat has no much difficulty, but I've learned a few things like: testing first is there's enough fabric for the chosen pattern and the type of fabric, if it's plaid it'll have to be enough fabric to match the plaid. That's the reason my sleeves are uneven. Another thing to keep in mind in the asymetric patterns is how you put the pattern for cutting the interfacing and the lining, it exists the posibility of cutting them on the opposite, you know why I know it. I'm very happy with my coat, it's still on the dress form and  I hug it sometimes that's how I like it. I would like to make it another time in the future, maybe with a higher  and wrapping collar and with buttonholes instead of loops, and surely with plaid.
